| This area on the White River is called Spanish Bridge. Historians say the old stone bridge dates back to the 1600s, just before the British landed on Jamaica's shores to take the island from the Spanish. The bridge is one of the lasting indicators of Spanish colonization in the valley.
Today, this area is the starting point for tubing and kayaking adventures down the White River.
